Live Like You’re Loved: Help Restock the CCSC Food Pantry

One way to help children cope with emergencies is to answer Jesus’ call to love and serve our neighbors. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing ideas for how your family can help safely during this time of extreme need. This week, we’re focusing on helping our community partner, Christian Community Service Center. CCSC’s food pantry is having difficulty obtaining groceries from its regular distributors, even as more families need assistance. If you can, while you’re on a grocery run this week, please drop off a bag of food/supplies at CCSC between 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at 3230 Mercer, just a few blocks from ROBS. Here’s what CCSC says will help the most:

Diapers (sizes 4, 5 and 6)
Cleaning wipes Bags with handles for packing groceries(paper, reusable, or plastic)
Pasta Boxed dry cereal Toilet paper
Hearty soups (with meat or beans) Canned vegetables (all types) Bar soap
Canned tuna Canned fruit (all types)
Canned chicken Baby Wipes
