Admission
Once a student has been admitted, we go the extra mile to welcome the entire family into the ROBS community. We want your transition to ROBS to be as seamless as possible...and fun, too!

Back to School Checklist

New families receive a Back to School Checklist that walks you through each step to get ready for the new school year.

New Family Information Hub
New families are given access to our New Family Information Hub where we provide the most up-to-date links and schedule of events, all collected in one place for your convenience. Families can find orientation dates, a quick guide to faculty and staff, the dress code and Student/Parent Handbook, carpool information, and much more. Links to sign up for Prime Time and After-School Classes are also available here.

Community Portal
During your time at ROBS, the Community Portal should be your first stop for information you need throughout the year. You will find this information on our all-school Resource Board, the Community Page for your child's grade level, and the complete school calendar. To access the Community Portal, log in with the username and password you used to submit an application for admission.

Shepherd Family Program
The Shepherd Family Program is designed to welcome new students and their families to the ROBS community. The program affords an opportunity for new students to become acquainted with their classmates and for parents to make connections with one another. All new families will be contacted in the spring by a ROBS family with a child in the same grade. This “shepherd family" will be available to answer questions about school events, volunteer opportunities, day-to-day activities, and whom to call for more information.

Popsicles on the Playground
Held prior to the start of the school year for all students entering Discovery, Readiness, Prekindergarten, and Kindergarten, Popsicles on the Playground provides an opportunity for students to play together and for parents to meet before school begins. Electronic invitations will be sent in late July.

First Friends
Families of students in grades 1-4 will be contacted in August by the parent of a returning student who will be in the same classroom. It is our hope that families will make an effort to get together at least once before the first day of school. Each new Middle School student will be contacted by a returning student so that when school begins, the incoming student will have at least one "First Friend" in his or her homebase. New Middle School students attend an orientation before classes begin so they will feel more comfortable on the first day of school.
Becoming a part of the ROBS family felt less like starting a new school and more like coming home. We are so excited to be here!
