ROBS seeks to build a vibrant student body with diverse talents, interests, and backgrounds. We want bright, motivated, and gracious students. And we know that for some of our students’ families, paying full tuition could be difficult. So, we try to help through financial assistance.
Financial Assistance is awarded for two purposes:
- To promote the development of a richly diverse student population that enhances the quality of the education ROBS provides.
- To allow for the continued enrollment of students whose families experience an economic hardship or a substantial change in income or expenses that might prevent continued enrollment.
Financial assistance is available to applicants for Kindergarten - eighth grade and Prekindergarten applicants who are siblings of a current student. Aid is awarded based on need. Funds are limited, so it’s important to begin the application process early. The steps for applying are outlined below. Even before that, we encourage families to talk to our Business Office about our philosophy and policies for financial assistance.
To process applications, ROBS uses School and Student Services (SSS), provided by the National Association of Independent Schools. Based on reported financial information, SSS calculates an estimated amount a family would be expected to contribute to educational expenses. This information is used by our Financial Aid Committee to ensure fair and objective decisions.
To give you some idea whether your child may qualify for financial aid, this table shows you last year's awards based on a range of family incomes. Each family’s situation is unique, and the ability of a family to contribute financially is based on many factors such as salary, assets, and number of children in schools that charge tuition. Therefore, this table should not be used to make assumptions about any financial aid award.
