ROBS students tend to naturally evolve into self-assured leaders. But that’s no accident; it’s by purposeful design. At our school, true leadership is about teaching our kids to think and act in a greater context. Helping them realize they can make a positive difference in the world. Inspiring them to serve as an example for others.
At the center of our leadership philosophy is the admirable and all-too-rare principle of taking responsibility. From the earliest grades, students are encouraged to take responsibility for themselves in the way they do their work and care for their belongings. We then create opportunities for them to look outward and take care of their classmates—leading daily lessons, serving on student council, participating in safety patrol, acting as a younger student’s buddy, or joining the Chapel Worship Team. Finally, we teach children to take responsibility for the community beyond our campus. Through good deeds large and small, such as service projects and fundraising for worthy causes, our students lead the way in making the world that surrounds our school a better place.
