How to Apply

  • 1. Complete the online application.

    Applications, along with a $100 application fee, are due by December 10, 2020. 

    Once an application is submitted, an Admission Checklist will be established for your child in your website account.
  • 2. Attend an informational admission event.

    Please join us for an informational admission event to learn more about ROBS. New applicant parents are required to attend ONE informational event as part of the application process. Please go to our “Schedule a Visit Page” for a list of upcoming events.
  • 3. Schedule an Individual Evaluation.

    This test is administered by Collaborative Academic Testing Service (CATS). Please register directly with CATS to schedule your child’s individual evaluation. Please contact CATS by December 1 as the testing results are due to ROBS by January 15. Results may be shared with other schools to which the student is applying.
  • 4. Register for an applicant assessment.

    Each applicant is required to take part in an applicant assessment.  You can find more details regarding the assessment and register through your child's online admission checklist. A $50 assessment fee is required.
  • 5. Submit a Parent Questionnaire.

    Use the Parent Questionnaire form in your child's admission checklist to provide us information about your child and your family.
  • 6. Request a Teacher Recommendation.

    Download a Teacher Recommendation form from the admission checklist and send it to your child’s current teacher for them to complete. Completed forms are due to the Admission Office by January 15, 2021.
  • 7. Attend a parent interview.

    After attending an informational admission event and applying, new applicant parents are invited to attend a parent interview.  Parents can schedule the interview by following the link located in your child’s admission checklist.  Interviews take place between September and December.
  • Positions in grades 1-3 become available due to attrition of existing students. Each year, between one and five positions usually become available in grades 1-3.

  • Students applying for the 2021-22 first grade class must be six years old by September 1, 2021 and must not turn seven before June 1, 2021.
  • Admission decisions are made on the basis of the applicant assessment, teacher recommendations, individual evaluation scores, and the parent questionnaire.
