Middle School Math Teacher (Grades 5 & 6)
River Oaks Baptist School is seeking a dynamic and innovative educator to join our team as a middle school Math teacher beginning August 2026.
This teacher will focus on teaching mathematics in the fifth and/or sixth grades. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching middle school mathematics, a passion for helping students build a strong foundation in mathematical thinking, and an enthusiasm for developing lessons that excite and engage students. They should also be interested in exploring Mind, Brain, and Education (MBE) research as it applies to effective math instruction.
This position reports to the Head of Middle School. All middle school faculty are supported by an experienced divisional team devoted to developing both students and faculty, including the Instructional Coach, Counselor, Learning Specialist, MS Dean of Students, Assistant Head of Middle School, Head of Middle School, Associate Head of School for Student Support, and Associate Head of School for Academics.
As with all faculty openings, the School seeks candidates eager to support our mission of preparing students to meet life’s challenges and lead tomorrow’s world through a superior educational program ungirded by faith in Jesus Christ and Christian principles.
Responsibilities:

Teach up to five classes of middle school mathematics with up to two preps.

Serve as an advisor to nine to twelve students in the same grade as your teaching assignment.

Sponsor or co-sponsor the middle school math club.

Model and guide students in Christ-like values and character development.

Employ instructional practices that build conceptual understanding and strengthen student thinking, supported by strategies such as project-based learning, differentiated instruction, and formative assessment.

Middle School Math Teacher
River Oaks Baptist School is seeking a dynamic and innovative educator to join our team as a middle school Math teacher beginning August 2026.
This teacher is responsible for teaching one or two grades of our middle school mathematics curriculum, which encompasses Math 5 (fifth grade), Math 6 and Pre-Algebra (sixth grade), Algebra 1A (seventh grade), and Algebra 1B (eighth grade).
This position reports to the Head of Middle School. Prime Time Instructor (Part-Time)
Prime Time instructors supervise students in our after-school program, which is known as Prime Time. Instructors work closely together as part of the Prime Time team. Hours are 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. Monday – Friday during the 2025-26 school year. Compensation is hourly. Responsibilities vary depending on the age of the students, but require planning and executing a program in accordance with the philosophy and policies of the School, including supervision of homework, snack, outdoor activities, and age-appropriate games and arts and crafts activities.

Substitute Teacher
River Oaks Baptist School is seeking substitute teachers with a passion for working with children. Our students range from age two through eighth grade. A qualified candidate must be dedicated to the character development of the students, be organized, and support the learning process in the teacher’s absence. Staff
Substitute Nurse
River Oaks Baptist School is actively searching for substitute nurses. A substitute nurse will be responsible for the administration of first aid, medication, specialized medical treatment, and care for ill or injured students and faculty/staff. A successful candidate will be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, possess a license to practice professional nursing (R.N. preferred) in the State of Texas, and have nursing experience (school nursing preferred). Certification in CPR and experience with Type 1 (juvenile insulin dependent) diabetes is required. The candidate will demonstrate professional acumen, strong interpersonal skills, and respect for the confidentiality and dignity of students, faculty, and staff. This position is supported by a fellow school nurse and the Associate Head of School for Student Support, who is also a trained nurse. Director of Technology
River Oaks Baptist School is seeking a visionary Director of Technology to lead and shape all aspects of our technology operations, systems, and initiatives. This key leadership role combines strategic planning, cybersecurity oversight, and operational management to ensure our technology environment is secure, reliable, and innovative. The Director will drive technology solutions that enhance teaching, learning, and administrative efficiency while aligning with the School’s mission and long-term goals.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic and visionary leader with strong skills in planning, project management, and IT operations. They will have a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity frameworks, cloud systems, and information management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users while staying organized and solution oriented. A strong Christian faith and a genuine desire to serve within a Christian school environment is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a school-wide technology strategy supporting teaching, learning, and operations.
- Lead long-term planning for hardware, software, systems, and infrastructure needs, including a rolling multi-year technology plan.
- Ensure reliable uptime, regular maintenance, and lifecycle replacement of all technology systems.
- Oversee technology inventory, purchasing, asset management, and replacement planning.
- Develop and manage the annual technology budget.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of all school IT systems.
- Advise and collaborate with leadership on technology vision, priorities, and initiatives.
- Oversee a comprehensive cybersecurity program, including threat monitoring, incident response, risk assessments, and faculty/staff training on related topics.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to data privacy, online safety, and information security.
- Establish and enforce policies for data governance, user access management, and secure technology practices.
- Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, cloud systems, cybersecurity, backups, and classroom technology.
- Manage procurement, contracts, and relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Partner with the Director of Educational Technology, faculty and Division Heads to support meaningful technology integration in teaching and learning.
- Support school-wide innovation initiatives and provide guidance on emerging tools or approaches.
- Lead and mentor a small, high-performing Technology team.
- Collaborate with faculty to integrate technology into instruction effectively.
- Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and technology projects.
- Respond to IT infrastructure emergencies outside regular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, ensuring minimal disruption to school operations.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and K–12 best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or related field.
- 5–7 years of IT leadership experience, preferably in K–12 or similar settings.
