    Health Clinic

The Health Clinic is staffed by registered nurse Michelle Bunch, R.N., who cares for students who become sick at school; dispense prescription medications needed during the school day; track immunization records as required by the state of Texas; and advises the Administration on health-related issues that affect the School.

For the safety and wellbeing of our students, R.O.B.S. follows the Texas Department of Health's guidelines for excluding children from school due to infectious diseases, including the following:
    • A child should be kept home from school until he or she has been fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication.
    • A child should be kept home from school if he or she has had vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours.
For additional health guidelines, please see the Student Parent Handbook. If you have questions about whether to keep your child home from school, please contact the school nurse.

The school nurse, in her discretion, may send a child home from school if he or she exhibits any sign of illness. Questions or concerns about health-related matters at school should be directed to the clinic at 713-623-6938, ext. 267, or by email to mbunch@robs.org.
