Through the benevolence of parents, grandparents, alumni, parents of alumni, faculty, and staff, River Oaks Baptist School has become one of the premier independent schools in the Houston area. To maintain our high standards, R.O.B.S. must continue to hire and retain faculty who are “the best of the best.” Buildings and equipment require maintenance and upgrades. In curriculum, sports, fine arts, service education, and extra-curricular activities, we must continue to challenge students to reach for every bit of their God-given potential as learners, athletes, artists, leaders, and friends.
The cost of an independent school education is significant. Tuition serves as the primary source of revenue, but it is not sufficient to cover the full cost of an R.O.B.S. education. As an independent school, R.O.B.S. cannot receive financial support from local, state, or federal governments. Therefore, charitable gifts are solicited each year to balance our operating budget and to provide long-term financial stability for the School.
Our primary fundraising includes annual giving; major gifts; campaigns, which are conducted periodically to fund the School’s endowment or building projects; galas, which occur every other year to raise endowment funds; and planned giving, whereby donors can benefit the School through their estate plans.
Schools are transformed by the generosity of caring friends, and we are deeply grateful for your support. Philanthropic investments in River Oaks Baptist School reap returns too precious to measure in dollars and cents. We measure them in the life of a child.
We hope you take great satisfaction in what your commitment and generosity make possible at River Oaks Baptist School.
