Welcome to the River Oaks Baptist School Admission Office! We know that choosing the right school for your child is a crucial decision for your family, and we’re delighted that you’re interested in learning more about ROBS.
River Oaks Baptist School was founded in 1955 as a mission of River Oaks Baptist Church and has grown into one of the premier independent schools in the Houston area. ROBS provides students a firm foundation for life—academically, morally, spiritually, socially, and physically. Rigorous academics are balanced with a nurturing environment and multi-dimensional character and spiritual development.
The School is noted for its leading-edge curriculum, outstanding faculty, and high level of parental participation. Whatever your child’s God-given talents and interests, our offerings—from art to athletics, from student council to service learning—enable students to build confidence, character, and community.

ROBS welcomes students and families of all backgrounds. We seek to attract students who will thrive in our environment and families who will support our purpose: helping students grow in knowledge, character, and faith. The School’s 846 students are drawn from a multiplicity of ethnic and cultural backgrounds, 41 different zip codes across the greater Houston area, and 11 Christian and four non-Christian religious traditions.
Thank you for considering ROBS. I look forward to meeting you during the admission process, welcoming you to campus, and introducing you to the superior educational environment at River Oaks Baptist School.

Admission Policy. The ROBS Admission Committee seeks to enroll students who will experience success in the School’s environment and whose parents understand, support, and accept the School’s philosophy of Christian education, academic objectives, and standards as described in the ROBS Mission Statement.  The School strives to enroll, retain, and support a well-qualified student body that is culturally, ethnically, and socio-economically diverse.

Non-Discriminatory Policy. River Oaks Baptist School admits students of any race, color, religion, and national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the School.  It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national, or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission, or financial aid policies, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
